I HEARTILY sympathise with passengers on the No 2 route and urge them to keep up the pressure although there is little hope of much response from First Bus as they don't have the decency to even acknowledge correspondence..

RE 'Parents' parking is unbelievable' (Letters, February 19). I wholly support Mrs T Read's comments. I live in the cul-de-sac on Moorland Way immediately adjacent to the Moorlands School and since the recent amalgamation of this school with the former Breydon Infants school, I find I am often unable to leave or gain access to my house in my car until the drivers move off because the cul-de-sac is totally blocked by inconsiderate parking at school delivery and collection times..

I MUST take issue with Councillor Reynolds (Mercury, February 12) when he is quoted as saying the Jetty "has no historical importance". It may have no architectural or archaeological importance, because it has been rebuilt several times since 1560, but it does have considerable historical importance, both local and national! I reiterate that it was (according to the National Archives) from the Jetty that Nelson left for the Battle of Copenhagen and to the Jetty that he returned after the Battle..
