Top plumbers in the pipeline

Plumbing students at Great Yarmouth College have received awards to celebrate their academic and practical achievements.
Prizes for highest marks and personal bests in end-of-year tests, excellence, student of the year and apprentice of the year were awarded in front of industry representatives, employers who support the course and students.
Course leader Neville Atkinson said the college's plumbing programme was going from strength to strength.
“We believe in marking the hard work and achievements by our students.”
“We are delighted that industrial associates have once again supported us in our celebration and reward of such excellence of achievement at the college,” he added.
Student of the year award, sponsored by Lecico, was shared by Ricci Margrie and James Green.
The Plumbase Award - a new award celebrating excellence in plumbing craft studies sponsored by Yarmouth company Plumbase - was shared by Jonathan Gilbert and Craig Hockton.
The Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering plumbing apprentice of the year trophy - a silver-plated blowlamp - was won by Robert Boughen and presented by Gordon Biden, branch secretary of the Norfolk IPHE.
Prizes donated by Monument Tools were presented for personal achievements to Adrian Bell, Emma Harris, Mark Webster, Keith Woodcock - who won three prizes - Ricci Margrie, James Green, Stuart Turner, John Stannard, Dean Davies and Craig Hockton.
