ON a glorious Sunday morning, the quiet villages of Reedham, Limpenhoe and Freethorpe were invaded by 268 runners, taking part in the second Humpty Dumpty 10K road race organised by Great Yarmouth and District Athletic Club.

IN an unprecedented turnout, 32 members of the Great Yarmouth Road Runners paid a fitting tribute to one of their fellow runners, Paul Brookshaw, who died tragically while out running some weeks ago.

HALVERGATE slipped to second place in Norfolk Alliance Division Five after a 10-wicket defeat at third-placed Cromer A.

ACLE delivered a much needed return to Norfolk Alliance Premier Division form on Saturday, with a comprehensive winning draw at Lowestoft, then on Sunday put on a brave and spirited performance to come within two wickets of reaching a second consecutive Carter Cup semi-final against EAPL outfit Horsford.
