A Norfolk heliport has announced a new partnership to offer unforgettable vintage and aerobatic aeroplane experiences.

Yarmouth Heliport, at North Denes Airfield in Great Yarmouth, has partnered with Finest Hour Experiences to offer hands-on flying experiences above East Anglian from the cockpit of vintage planes, including a Tiger Moth.

"We are so excited to announce that Yarmouth Heliport is the new home for Finest Hour Experiences," Yarmouth Heliport said in a Facebook post.

"Brace yourself for an array of unforgettable moments aboard vintage and aerobatic aeroplanes with Finest Hour.

"All of the flights are hands-on flying lessons with highly experienced instructors and all the pilots are professional pilots with airline, military and/or display backgrounds - no amateurs here.

"This partnership marks the dawn of exciting prospects for Yarmouth Heliport, and we're only just getting started.

"We expect the first aeroplane to arrive at Yarmouth Heliport on March 30."

North Denes Airfield served oil and gas platforms off the East Anglian coast for more than half a century, but closed in 2015 after helicopter operator CHC started flying from Norwich Airport.

It was put up for sale in 2017, and reopened last year as Yarmouth Heliport.
