A call has been made for D-Day veterans living in Norfolk to attend an event in the lead-up to the 80th anniversary of the battle.
Gorleston man Bruno Peek, royal pageantmaster and co-ordinator of D-Day 80, is organising a series of events to remember those who took part in storming the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.
And on May 13, ahead of the anniversary itself, a miner's lamp will be lit in Great Yarmouth.
Once lit, the lamp will be taken to the headquarters of veterans charity Walking with the Wounded.

They will then take it across the English Channel on June 6 to light lamps on the five beaches in northern France where Allied troops landed.
Mr Peek said: "We would like to find out if their are any veterans from D-Day that are still living in Norfolk, as we would like to invite them and their families to attend the event on May 13 in Great Yarmouth."
The lamp itself is more than 100 years old and was used by miners during the First World War who were sent to the western front to dig tunnels under the German lines.
