A47 roundabout work leads to road closures

The A47 Beaufort Way roundabout in Gorleston is to be closed on Friday night so surface improvement and traffic light installation work can be completed.

It will be closed from 8pm to 6am on Saturday.

As well as the A47 being closed to through traffic, the overnight closure will mean that drivers will be unable to access the roundabout from Beaufort Way or Links Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout. Emergency services under blue light and scheduled bus services will be allowed through the closure.

An official diversion route will be in place between 8pm and 6am:

A47 closure route - A47 Lowestoft Rd, B1375 Gorleston Road, A146 Bridge Road, A146 Beccles Road, A143 Yarmouth Road, A143 Haddiscoe Dam, A143 Beccles Rd, A47 Lowestoft Road.

B1534 Beaufort Way closure – B1534 Beaufort Way, A143 Beccles Road, A47 Lowestoft Road.

Links Road closure – U61527 Links Rd, Yallop Ave, Marine Parade, Bridge Road.
