Temperatures are due to top 24c, as people were expected to flock to Norfolk’s beaches, parks, and beauty spots.

At Santon Downham in Suffolk the Met Office said temperatures had risen from just 2c at 6am to 19.6c at 10am.

Dan Holley from Weatherquest, based at the University of East Anglia, said: “Lots of sunshine around today staying dry throughout, in fact very little in the way of clouds we’re keeping a blue sky throughout from dawn until dusk.

“One or two mist patches first thing this morning but they’ll quickly clear and that will lead into a fine Sunday.

“It’s going to be another warm day too with a light easterly breeze.”

He said this would keep the coast slightly cooler than those places in land

“As we go through this evening and tonight not much changing.”

Yesterday the county’s tourism industry saw a boost as a rare hot bank holiday weekend brought people to attractions.
