Great Yarmouth area still gripped by the Beast from the East

The Beast from the East is still affecting the borough of Great Yarmouth with trains cancelled, limited bus services and schools closed.

Trains between Great Yarmouth and Norwich have been cancelled and First Bus says the no 4 service has been cancelled and buses are not reaching Ormesby, Hemsby, Scratby and Martham.

There are reports of snow drifts causing problems on some roads, especially in the Rollesby and Billockby area and heading towards Hemsby. People are also reported to be stuck in Martham and around Scratby.

People are also advised to take care on the A47 between Hopton and Gorleston.

Dozens of schools are closed.

Great Yarmouth Borough has cancelled bin collection services for the third day running.
