Emergency services have dealt with the aftermath of three crashes through and by Gorleston as wintry conditions hit the area today.

The first crash was reported to police at the roundabout by Lowestoft Road at 11.41am and involved three vehicles.

The crash saw firefighters from Gorleston and Great Yarmouth called out, with crews freeing one person from a vehicle.

The accident was described by police as a “minor injury” crash.

The second crash happened in the Hall Road area at about 12.10pm near the A47 heading to Hopton.

A police spokesman said it involved a Nissan, a Vauxhall Corsa and a Ford Focus with two of the vehicles hitting a tree.

The spokesman said four people were injured in total but it was not believed they had suffered major injuries.

The last crash was reported to police at 1.20pm at Middleton Road and involved one car, with no injuries reported.
