Scouts, Cubs and Beavers spent the weekend collecting litter from the beach at Great Yarmouth and gathered more than 20kg.

Members of the 29th Norwich (St Peter Mancroft) Scouts, the Scour Group, in association with Great Yarmouth SeaLife Centre took part in the eco-friendly weekend.

The group travelled from Norwich by train, minimising their carbon footprint.

The children brought their own no-single-use plastic snacks, and on arrival walked to the sea front at the Britannia Pier, before carrying out a beach clean.

On a stretch of coast between the pier and the Sealife Centre they collected 21.5kg of rubbish.

On arrival at Great Yarmouth Sealife Centre, the children were given a special tour, learning more about marine conservation and the wildlife threatened by the rubbish they had helped to clean up.
