Pupils from a Great Yarmouth primary school made furry and feathered farmyard friends during a visit to a family-run farm.

The reception children from Cobholm Primary Academy made friends as they met pigs, goats, chickens, and the farm cat at Hundred River Farm, near Beccles.

After cuddling and feeding the guinea pigs and chickens, the children were given a tour of the working farm, including a trip to the milking parlour to find out how cows are milked.

They also met the farm’s smaller residents on a minibeast hunt, learned how bees make honey, and saw how farmland is being planted to encourage wildlife such as birds and butterflies.

A school spokesman said: “The children had a fantastic day exploring this wonderful farm and have been enthusiastically sharing everything they learned.”
