Elderly woman mugged

A WOMAN in her mid 70s was bundled over by a gang of muggers, who stole personal items, in broad daylight today.

The theft happened at 11.45am in Anson Road, Great Yarmouth and the distressed victim was taken to the James Paget University Hospital to be checked over.

Two males were subsequently arrested and questioned by the police and the search was continuing for two other males.

Witnesses are asked to call Yarmouth police on 0845 4564567.
