FRIENDS have issued a plea for the safe return of a Great Yarmouth man who has been missing for a month.
Luke Brampton, 38, of Salisbury Road, was reported missing on Wednesday, May 16 and he was last seen on Sunday, May 13.
Luke, a keen churchgoer who attends St Peter’s Church every day for communion, is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim, athletic build with short dark brown hair.
In the days leading up to his disappearance, police said he was feeling depressed and he suffered from a low mood.
His friends, Ivar Tilleman and Marieke Van Duijkeren, have travelled from their home in Holland to spend four days in Great Yarmouth handing out flyers and looking for Luke.
Ivar said: “We kept in touch through Facebook and I last saw him on New Year’s Eve when he came to Holland.
“His disappearance is very strange. Two more friends are coming from Holland to Great Yarmouth today (Friday) to help look for him.
“I hope if he sees this article and if he is running away from something that he will contact us.
“Whatever the problem is, we can help him.”
Luke lived in Holland from 2006 until 2009 when he moved to Yarmouth.
“He really liked living in Great Yarmouth,” Ivar said.
“He became very religious when he moved. His religion gave him stability and the church made him feel like he belonged to a community.
“He wore a lot of white clothing and he always made an effort with his appearance. He wore crucifixes around his neck.”
He was wearing a white shirt, white casual trousers, a white scarf and dark polished shoes when he was last seen.
Ivar and Marieke have created a website to help find Luke. See http://helpfindluke.wordpress.com/
