STUDENTS from local high schools took part in the final of enterpriseGY's Going for Profit Schools Challenge last week.

Held at enterpriseGY's new headquarters, the Novus Centre, teams from Acle, Cliff Park, Caister and Oriel High schools battled it out to prove who could apply the best entrepreneurial skills on the day to successfully run a simulated business.

During the final, the task was to run a business simulation, this time for a wine bar, focusing attention on operational decisions and the provision of good quality customer service.

It was a very closely contended competition during the course of the day's event, but by the end of the afternoon, the team of girls from Caister School were pronounced clear winners. The winning team of Year 10 pupils, comprising Lisa Lacey, Jemma Brooks, Abbie Hewett and Danni Snell, were presented with a trophy and each also earned themselves a £20 gift voucher.
