A Norfolk business has been featured in this year’s Parliamentary Review in the Highlighting best practice section, for the work it does as a social enterprise as well as being a software provider.

Great Yarmouth-based Empowering-Communities builds communication of data between organisations with limited information, to help them better support vulnerable people and their families.

This could see bodies such as the police, councils, and mental health services be given combined data across all three organisations, to form a better picture around an individual or offender and their requirements.

Of their inclusion in the review, chief executive Gary Pettengell, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s Parliamentary Review. As a social enterprise we have been instrumental in breaking down traditional barriers, providing cost-effective, technological solutions to address a multitude of societal issues. We are proud to be sharing our story as an example of best practice.”
