The uncertainty over the Brexit process has seen the number of people in the constituency of Great Yarmouth who want to stay in the EU increase.

The Brexit vote of 2016 saw 71.5pc of voters saying they wanted to leave the EU, with a majority of 21,560 over Remain voters.

However research carried out by Best for Britain in conjunction with Hope Not Hate has shown that now 64pc of people in the constituency would vote leave, a fall of 7.6pc compared to the first Brexit vote.

The national research claimed nearly half of English constituencies would now vote remain, with 97 switching, meaning 257 of 533 English constituencies would now vote to stay.

All Scottish constituencies would vote to stay and 25 out of 40 in Wales would stay, an increase of 14 constituencies.

Modelling of the 632 seats in England, Scotland and Wales showed that in 2016, 229 were Remain and 403 were Leave seats.
