A man in Great Yarmouth is holding a tombola sale to help raise money for dialysis patients.

Tony Ward, 79, is hosting the fundraiser in 169 King Street and numerous items are also available for purchase.

All money raised will go to the Cromer Dialysis Patient Fund.

Janet Dickenson, senior sister at Cromer dialysis unit, said: “The funds raised are used to take patients on holiday, group theatre trips, dinners and pantos.

“The majority of patients are elderly and because of their illness and dependance on dialysis are unable generally to go away on holidays.

“I hope you will consider this to be a worthy cause.”

Among the items available are statues, cuddly toys, games and stationery.

Mr Ward will be in the disused site from 10am to 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Any further donations of items for the sale will be gratefully received.
