A woman who breached an order banning her from drinking in public and going into a town centre has been sentenced to 40 weeks in prison.

Tracey Slade, 46, of Stephenson Close, Great Yarmouth, was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in April 2018 which included her not being in possession of any open container of alcohol in a public place and not entering the town centre at any time.

PC Richard Temple said the CBO attempted to address her “constant intoxicated and anti-social behaviour in the town centre”.

He said: “A custodial sentence of 40 weeks is as a result of her disregard of the order issued by the court and her continued anti-social behaviour in the town centre.

“The operational partnership team have worked closely with other agencies to try to support Tracey.

“This will continue whilst she is in custody and following her release to help her with her rehabilitation and to prevent her re-offending.”

Ms Slade will serve a further 18 weeks concurrently and was issued with a £115 surcharge.

Slade will have a 12 months supervision order following her release.
