Final day of business for Greenwoods in Great Yarmouth, which closes for the last time today
A well known clothes shop in Great Yarmouth is open for business for the very last time today.
When Greenwoods on the corner of King Street and Regent Road shuts at 5.30pm today, it will be for the final time, leading to what is believed to be the loss of four jobs.
The windows of the store are currently daubed with messages notifying customers of the closure, with all stock reduced to clear.
It is part of a suit hire and retail company that had been bought out of administration last October.
The closure is another blow to Yarmouth town centre, which has seen other chains such as BHS and Marks and Spencers move out or close recently. River Island intends to move to the Gapton Hall estate.
Greenwoods Menswear went into administration in September citing tough trading conditions but stores in Yarmouth and Bury St Edmunds were saved after administrators Deloitte found a buyer. Versatile International Trading bought the majority of the business on October 20.
