What’s red and white and runs along the Golden Mile in Great Yarmouth? The Christmas Santa Run!

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) will once again host the event and budding fundraisers are needed to make it a success.

The Great Yarmouth Santa Run, starts at 10.30am on Sunday, December 8 with all participants dressing up in Santa suits and completing a one-mile route which starts and finishes at the Britannia Pier. It’s not a race, so participants don’t have to be expert runners. They can walk, jog or run. There will be prizes for the adult and child that secures the most sponsorship.

Gary Cook, EACH Norfolk Fundraiser, said: “Our Great Yarmouth Santa Run is a really fun event – not only for participants but for spectators too as it’s not often you see lots of Santas running up and down the seafront! It’s a perfect excuse for people to have fun while raising funds for a vital cause.”

Adult entry is £10 and includes a Santa suit, or £8 without a suit. To join you can enter online at www.each.org.uk/santaruns or call 01953 666767 to request an entry form.
