There are long delays on the A47 Acle Straight after a crash during the evening rush hour.

As holidaymakers left Great Yarmouth after a summer holiday day out, they were met with tailbacks, with miles of traffic at a standstill on the Norwich-bound side of the road.

A spokesman for the police posted on Twitter that there had been a two vehicle crash and earlier a car ended up in a ditch.

Police are still on the scene as of 6.20pm.
