A man has died after the pick-up truck he was driving crashed into two lorries on the A149 near Catfield.
A Nissan pick-up truck, an articulated lorry and a DAF lorry were in collision just after 3pm today near the junction of Potter Heigham Road.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called, and three fire crews attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free a casualty.
But the male driver of the pick-up truck sadly died at the scene.
The male driver of the DAF lorry suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment, and the male driver of the articulated lorry was treated at the scene for shock.
The road is currently closed in both directions with diversions in place and it is likely to remain closed for several hours.
Any witnesses to the collision, and in particular anyone who saw the manner of driving of the three vehicles prior to collision, who have not yet spoken to police should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wymondham on 101.
