Retailers and staff in the Market Gates shopping centre in Great Yarmouth will be using pedal power to support two good causes

On Saturday, June 9 from 9am a Bikeathon will be held in aid of One Great Day, which is raising money for Great Ormond Street and Help an East Coast Child.

Two teams will go head to head to travel 92 miles and the fastest team will win a prestigious trophy and a crate of prosecco.

Each cyclist will be given a sponsorship form.

Shoppers in the Centre on the day will also be invited to get involved and take part in the Market Gates’ Shopper’s Challenge.

A static bike will be set up and for a donation of £2, shoppers will be asked to cycle for 10 minutes.

The cyclist who travels the furthest in that time will win £50 Love2Shop vouchers and a bottle of prosecco.

Collection buckets will be available.
