A business is celebrating opening new premises in Victoria Arcade in Great Yarmouth.

Jayne Cavender has opened a shop called Made With Love supplying beads, jewellery making items, handmade jewellery and craft supplies.

Retailers in the Great Yarmouth shopping precinct have also clubbed together to set up their own Facebook page to promote the shopping area.

The shopping arcade has had a turnaround in fortunes.

In recent years the precinct has been hit hard by the recession but after the fire in Regent Road last August destroyed the indoor market, several businesses relocated to the thoroughfare, giving it a boost.

It opened in the 1920s as the Central Arcade and was refurbished and renamed the Victoria Arcade in 1987.

The arcade is home to many independent retailers, including a book shop, clothes shop, and puppet shop.
