“The clouds should clear throughout the afternoon.

“There is potential for further storms in the east of Norfolk around 8pm through to the early hours of Thursday, July 20, but these should move north.”

The Met Office had issued yellow weather warning which has been lifted.

In Erpingham, 61 homes have had their power restored after it was out for most of the day.

Homes in Holt without power this evening should have power back between 6pm and 7pm.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “Engineers are working quickly and safely to restore power as soon as possible to 118 properties in Erpingham following damage to an overhead line at 4am this morning. We understand how difficult it is to be without power and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Roads across the county saw an increase in surface water and spots of flooding.
