On Thursday, 360kg of what is suspected to be cocaine were found in bags and containers on beaches at Hopton and Caister, near Great Yarmouth.

The total street value of the drugs could be £50m.

Matthew Rivers, from the National Crime Agency’s border investigation team, said: “This is obviously a substantial seizure of class A drugs, and its loss will represent a major blow to the organised criminals involved.”
