An RSPCA inspector was sent to Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth this morning after a visitor raised concerns about the behaviour of frogs.

In reality, the frogs were actually just mating.

Owner of the model village Peter Williamson was shocked to find out the RSPCA inspector was at the entrance gate.

He knew there were frogs in one of the miniature ponds, but was unaware of any suffering.

Mr Williamson said: “One of the members of the public raised a concern with the RSPCA that we had over populated one of the pools and two frogs were climbing over each other to get out.

“It was quite a surprise to see the RSPCA inspector at the gate, and they were a little red faced when they told me they were not climbing over each other to get out they were just doing other things.”

Mr Williamson added that there were up to 100 frogs at the facility as it is the perfect place and conditions for frogs to breed.
