A muddy commemoration of the first Norfolk Day has been sold in aid of a county charity.

Much-loved Norfolk artist Ruddy Muddy and his partner Damsel Dragonfly were commissioned to create the tribute by Totally Dynamic, a national vehicle wrapping business.

The one-off piece was painted live at the Royal Norfolk Show in front of spectators, and depicts George Vancouver from King’s Lynn, Cley Windmill and Nelson’s Monument in Great Yarmouth.

After the show it was auctioned off on social media.

Becki and Adam Carpenter from Tasburgh placed the winning bid of £250, money which will go to family support charity Home-Start Norfolk. It was presented at Totally Dynamic’s Norwich centre this week.

Mrs Carpenter said: “The entire piece has significance for us, and will be proudly displayed in our hallway as a muddy reminder of all our favourite Norfolk spots.”
