A lucky holidaymaker galloped to a great win at Great Yarmouth Racecourse after scooping more than £3,400 - from a £6.40 bet.

Shelley Day was enjoying her first ever visit to a racecourse when she won the four-figure sum.

She was among thousands of visitors who flocked to Yarmouth Racecourse on Sunday for its annual family fun day.

The holidaymaker, who was visiting Norfolk from Dartford, Kent, put down a £6.40 stake and was delighted to win £3,482.

After her big win she happily posed for this picture with her smiling family, who have been staying in a caravan in Hemsby during their stay.
