A sports participation survey will give residents in the borough of Great Yarmouth the chance to win one of five £15 shopping vouchers or a three-month gym and swim membership.

Active Norfolk and Great Yarmouth Borough Council are doing the survey to get an understanding of activity levels, identify potential barriers to keeping fit and gauge views on existing sporting facilities. The council will then use the responses to support funding bids to further improve facilities. Graham Plant, council leader, said: “We’ve recently completed a major redevelopment of the Phoenix Pool and we’re now looking at enhancing facilities at the Marina Centre and the Wellesley Recreation Ground.”

Residents in the Great Yarmouth Borough are invited to take part in the survey until Friday, October 12. People can complete it online or pick up a hard copy and freepost envelope at the Town Hall, Great Yarmouth Library, Gorleston Library, the Marina Centre or Phoenix Pool and Gym.
