A memorial to 105 men who died in the First World War has been blessed and officially rededicated at a Great Yarmouth school.
Youngsters at St George’s Primary School in St Peters Road have been learning about some of the men listed on the memorial ahead of Remembrance Day.
Headteacher Melodie Fearns lead a special assembly where she spoke to the schoolchildren about the importance of remembering the sacrifices men and women have made in war for the peace we enjoy today.
The children read out the names of all the men who are named on the memorial, and some pupils also read out poems they had written about the Great War.
Relatives of some of the men who lost their lives attended the service. John and Mollie Timby came to see the name of another John Timby. Chris Durrant his great uncles Sidney and Leonard, and Eileen Alexanda her uncle John Condon.
