A large swan on the carriageway near to Postwick had been causing long delays.

Queues of up to a mile long forming on part of the A47 heading away from Great Yarmouth and towards Longwater.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said officers were called and set up a rolling road block from the A146 Yarmouth-bound carriageway to slow down traffic and allow the swan to be picked up.

The swan was cleared from the road by 7.40am.
