Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash between a car and a bus in Gorleston.

The incident happened in Church Lane at around 5.45pm yesterday, April 27.

A grey BMW and a bus were in collision, with two occupants of the BMW arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

No one was hurt in the crash.

Fire crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston attended the incident. Crews assisted the police and made the vehicles and surrounding area safe.

A second collision took place in Gorleston yesterday evening on the A47 Lowestoft Road, outside the James Paget University Hospital.

Two cars were involved in the crash at about 6.30pm, with one side of the road blocked while the vehicles were recovered.

A crew from Great Yarmouth attended, alongside police, and used main and hose reel jets to extinguish a fire in one of the vehicles and provide scene safety.
