A Great Yarmouth takeaway has been targeted by vandals who caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a double glazed door.

Police believe the Kuk Chunas takeaway in the Beach Coach Station on Nelson Road North was targeted in broad daylight - sometime between 3.15pm and 3.40pm on Tuesday.

Husband and wife Peter and Chun High, of Bradwell - who have been running the business since 2011, believe the damage will cost them around £400 to repair.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk police said: “A large double glazed pane of glass in door was damaged - possibly by a stone being thrown at it.

“Officers are carrying out enquiries, including visits to properties in the area to see if anyone saw anything.”

Appealing for anyone with information to get in touch, she added: “Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information about who caused the damaged should call PC Tracey Riddell at Great Yarmouth on 101.”
