Pancake Day is right around the corner, so make sure you head to the shops and stock up on lemon, sugar and chocolate spread before it’s too late.

When is Pancake Day?

In 2018 Shrove Tuesday, commonly known as Pancake Day, falls on Tuesday, February 13, preceding the first day of Lent.

Why do we celebrate Pancake Day?

The day takes place each year exactly 47 days before Easter Sunday and is traditionally celebrated by eating pancakes in order to use up rich indulgent foods such as sugar and milk before the 40-day fasting season begins.
