A wildlife rescue centre has outgrown its home and moved to a new site further up the coast.

Wild Touch, run from David Carr’s bungalow in Rollesby for four years, has taken up residence at the former Seal and Bird Rescue Trust at Ridlington, near North Walsham.

Mr Carr, 31, who has cared for hundreds of animals from native wildlife to more exotic creatures like lizards and parrots said having more space meant they would be able to care for more patients.

But there was still plenty to do on the half-acre site where many of the wards needed to be repaired or virtually rebuilt.

Last year the centre took in some 400 animals and this year it has seen over 500.

Recent admissions include a bearded dragon, a pole cat, a tawny owl, and a grey seal pup.

To volunteer or report an injured animal call 07765 345441.
