The manager of adventure park BeWILDerwood has praised the actions of his staff and the emergency services after a customer suffered an injury on an 18ft high platform.

Emergency services were called to the park in Hoveton at 12.30pm on Wednesday after reports someone had fallen on a rope bridge.

General manager of the park, Ben Jones, said the customer was up on a wooden platform and fell down “two or three steps”.

He said staff dealt with the incident internally but required the help of the emergency services to get the woman down from the platform.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew were sent to the scene and treated a woman in her 40s. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were also called to assist the ambulance service to rescue the person.

A spokesperson for the fire service said crews rescued the woman from a 40ft height but Mr Jones said it was 18ft.

Mr Jones also praised the staff for their work and thanked the emergency services for their help.

The woman, who was conscious and breathing, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
