A TEENAGER charged with affray has been remanded in custody after breaking his bail conditions.

Police arrested Samuel Ransome, 19, of Appleton Drive, Ormesby, on Sunday, May 23, at his home for breaching his curfew.

Officers had visited his home earlier in the day and were unable to find him.

Ransome appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, May 24, where he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Wednesday, June 9, to answer a charge of affray.

The charge relates to an incident at the Kings Arms pub, Fleggburgh, on Thursday, March 18.

Inspector Nathan Clark, who covers the Rural Flegg and Caister and Coastal Safer Neighbourhood Teams, said: “Breaches of bail conditions will not be tolerated and I would like to remind all defendants on bail to adhere to their conditions. Failure to do so will result in you being arrested and possibly remanded in custody as the defendant was in this case.”
