Gorleston’s Ladies’ Section played their Monthly Stableford.

The winners were in Division One, Sue Smith — 35 points on countback from Jan Parsons, Division Two, June Elliot (35) from Maureen Duckett (34) and Division Three, Maggie Hart (31) from Rosemary Hodgkin (25).

In the first Winter Midweek Stableford competition the winners were Division One, Jamie Gough (40) from John Cater (39) and Division Two, Kevin Shaw (40) from Andy Klein (39).

The highlight of the week was the annual trophy dinner. Over 80 members and their families attended and enjoyed an excellent meal before the trophies were presented.

The trophy dinner is the culmination of the season when club dignitaries present various trophies. Whilst the club did not achieve any county honours they came close. The Ladies’ Cranworth Trophy team reached the semi-final and the Men’s team went one better to reach the final of the Hambro Trophy.
