Emily strikes gold for Stalham artistic roller skaters

Nine skaters from Stalham Artistic Roller Skating Club attended the Meridian 2012, Open bagging a total of eight medals.

Emily Woods was awarded gold for solo dance (inter bronze and bronze and also for team dance (inter bronze and bronze), skating as Stalham Starlites alongside Tamara Ellison and Shelby Silver, loaned from Meridian RF & DC. Erin Seaman and Celena Woods were both awarded silver for their duo dance (elementary and preliminary) and Erin was also awarded bronze for her solo dance (preliminary). Toni Lowe was loaned to LEA Fraggles and was awarded a bronze medal for team dance (elementary and preliminary).

Jessica Taylor narrowly missed out on a medal, taking 4th place for her solo dance (elementary). Elena Dickenson and duo partner Emily Woods also took 4th place for their inter silver and above duo dance, closely followed by sisters Sasha and Tamara Ellison.

A big thank you goes to long-term club member Shannon Hudson who took a break from her studies to return to competitive skating for this competition, to make up an additional team.
