Freethorpe U9 played away to a good Ormesby Lads. Conditions were great for football and what was evident was both teams’ fighting spirit as well as some quality on show. Freethorpe were a credit to themselves and were leading only to let it slip five minutes from the end. But this was their best display of the year, with hopefully more to come. Billy showed a great attitude all match and Ross was his usual battling self. Nevie linked up well with Tobias and between them scored the goal of the match. Eddy was inspirational between the sticks with some fine stops. Will took over at half-time and was strong and confident. Alfie shored up the defence with good reading of the game. Josh contributed to a good performance with some good tackles and quick runs. MoM: Eddy and Will.
