Golfers enjoy the late autumn sunshine at Gorleston

Gorleston Golf Club’s men’s section played their Monthly Stableford competition in excehllent weather.

Division One: Mark Seeley 40 points, Bob Richardson 36 points. Division Two: Mark Mason 39 points, Clyde Leggett 37. Division Three: Barry Landles 34 points, Allan Robbins 33 points.

The juniors the took centre stage, playing their Autumn Stableford, with 15 youngsters taking part.

Charlie Peacock won the 18 hole competition with 32 points from Tom Hellary on countback. The nine hole section was won by Jamieson Gray with 19 points and the six hole event went to Riley Finch with 13 points.

In midweek it was the turn of the ladies’ section to play their Divisional Medal competition. The results on the day, played once again in glorious weather, were in Division One: Heather Harvey 71 nett, Penny Platten 75 nett. Division Two: June Elliot 72 nett, second Rosemary Woodhouse 74 nett and in Division Three: Vickie Peake 72 nett.
