Gorleston Parkrun attracts visitors from Ireland

The latest Gorleston Cliffs Parkrun attracted a field of 263 runners.

Amongst them were Siobhan and Kevin Kearney, visiting from their home parkrun in Ireland. Siobhan ran the course in 24.11.

There was a first finish for local runner Marc Evans in 17.52 with Billy Heseltine second in 18.05 and Bernard Mukuya in his highest recorded finishing position of third in a new personal best time of 19.08.

Colleen N Mukuya just pipped Jo Anverali at the finish to be first woman home. Colleen was pacing a friend to finish in 21.05 with Jo setting a new personal best in 21.06. Nadine Heseltine was third woman in 22.14.

One of the 22 personal bests was achieved by Diane Pamplin. Diane has done 128 parkruns and clocked a new best time of 23.37. This gave her the highest age-graded performance of the week (89.84pc) which is exceptional running. Joel Fernandez reached his 50th parkrun milestone in a time of 24.10.
