With ideal conditions for running, the 440th Gorleston parkrun attracted 342 participants.

Lewis Roberts, who was getting married later in the day, ran alongside his dad, parkrun regular Graham Roberts, and the pair finished in just over 23 minutes.

Many runners were celebrating milestone runs including Roshan Lal and Richard Blumsom (50), Tom Pullinger (100), Mark Stone (250) and Pauline Leeves (300).

The top age-graded performances went to Diane Pamplin and Steve Butcher, both producing scores of well over 80pc.

Leading the men home for the fourth time in 46 runs was Tyler Bilyard followed by Darren Barnes and first timer Simon Brown. For the ladies Alice Craddock had an exceptional run to achieve a new personal best time of 20.50 followed by Amelia Webber and Sabrina Norton.

James Bool managed to earn a PB of 19.59 as did Shaun Long (21.59) and Shaun Thomas (26.58).
