Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club has been awarded the European OSY400 Hydroplane Championship event.

It will take place on the weekend of July 7 and 8.

Hopes are high that many new faces will on show, especially the highly-competitive drivers from Lithuania. Estonia and Poland.

Almost all of the UK’s regular drivers will be taking part, some for the first time in an international event, while visiting drivers are being invited to race at the previous Thursday’s club night. giving them a chance to acquaint themselves with the venue.

The club has a great deal of preparation work to carry out as well as meeting all required regulations.

As part of the preparations, a committee has been formed to investigate and seek support from local and regional businesses. Those interested in getting involved can make initial contact to johnsoanes.blackeye@gmail.com
