Last weekend Retro Skate Artistic Roller Skating Club took four members to Soham Gala. This is the first competition the club has entered and they were delighted with the results.

Last weekend Retro Skate Artistic Roller Skating Club took four members to Soham Gala. This is the first competition the club has entered and they were delighted with the results.

The skaters performed in all three disciplines of roller skating and returned home with four medals and two trophies.

Daisy Robinson won gold for figures, bronze for free skating and was eighth for solo dance.

Malaki Mitchell won gold for free skating, was fifth for solo dance and 10th figures.

Abbie Hendry won bronze for solo dance, sixth figures and was eighth free skating.

Gemma Cook was seventh for free skating and also for figures.

The skaters would like to thank Glenn, Donna, Jane and Victoria for all the help over the last few weeks and look forward to the Kent Gala next month where more members from Retroskate will be entering their first competition.

Retroskate Artistic session times are Monday 6 to 7pm (dance), Thursday 4 to 6pm (figures and free), Sunday 5 to 6.30pm (figures and free).

Dance, figures and free are also held at The Denes High School, Lowestoft on Saturdays and North Walsham High School on Saturdays and Sundays.
