Snow closed Gorleston Golf Course for one day and forced the cancellation of the Midweek Stableford.

On Sunday the Men’s Section played for the Todd and Turner Tankards, a fourball betterball stableford competition.

The winners with an outstanding 47 points were Andy Klein and Keith Newberry.

In second place were David Wooden and Mark Everard with 44 points on countback from Ray Pope and Stuart Pearce in third place.

On Wednesday the Ladies’ Section played a four ball better ball matchplay format which will be useful for some of next year’s county matches.

Thursday’s Midweek Stablelford was cancelled as the golf course was closed owing to snow which although amazingly picturesque made played impossible.
