THE cup competitions are at the semi-final stages and the first of these was played this week in Division Two.

On the Beaco there was an easy passage to the final for Newtown Golfers who thumped Memphis Belton 10-0 in a one-sided encounter.

THE cup competitions are at the semi-final stages and the first of these was played this week in Division Two.

On the Beaco there was an easy passage to the final for Newtown Golfers who thumped Memphis Belton 10-0 in a one-sided encounter.

However the second semi-final went to extra time where Acle Wanderers edged past Nothing Special 3-2.

The final will be played on Sunday, April 12 at Emerald Park, Gorleston.

The Division One Cup saw the final group games played.

Trying to win Group A, El Sol went down 3-0 to Camden Tavern.

In Group B a rejuvenated Sunningdale Boys went through as group winners after beating Norton Athletic 2-0.

With the winners playing the runners-up, the semi-finals will be Camden Tavern v Lacon Arms and Sunningdale Boys v EL Sol.

In Division Three the semi-final line-up is known after this week's quarter-final ties.

Favourites Windmill saw off Cantley Rovers 3-1 to set up a tie with Sun who beat Rampart Signs 5-2. Hemsby FC defeated Greengate 4-0 to book a home tie against Venture Albion who won

4-1 against Crown Stores.

There were just two league games played. In the First Division Archers' title bid was hampered by Lacon Arms securiong a 2-2 draw.

Archers missed two penalties but it needed an injury-time goal from Paul Harriman to earn the point that puts them three points clear with Camden, having a game in hand.

In Division Two, King's Arms Crusaders and Camden Tavern Reserves battled out a thrilling 3-3 draw.
