Bath’s loss is Great Yarmouth’s gain on Thursday afternoon when another eight-race card brings down the curtain on the three-day Eastern Festival.

The £20,000 Bath Summer Series Staying Series Final should have been run in the west country at the weekend, but conditions resulted in it being transferred to boost Thursday’s meeting.

Over 14 furlongs, the race sees a dozen go at 3.35pm with With Pleasure under Daniel Muscutt for Welsh trainer John Flint. A runner-up at Newbury, the gelding had previously scored at Bath.

Affair, under Kieran O’Neill for Roger Charlton, rates a big danger, the filly a previous winner at Bath, while Silvestre de Sousa rides John Berry’s Hope Is High. She bids for a hat-trick following success at Bath six days after winning at Great Yarmouth.

A prize of £12,000 awaits the winner of the 4.10pm Dan Hague Handicap, featuring eight runners. The line-up is led by Great Hall, a hat-trick seeking gelding from Micky Quinn’s yard, winner of his last two races at Ascot. Main rival is William Hunter, from Alan King’s yard. Third at Haydock last time, Fergus Sweeney takes the ride on a gelding better known over the jumps. Gabr should strike in the opener for reigning champion Jim Crowley and trainer Sir Michael Stoute. The two-year-old was runner-up on both his starts, at York and Newmarket.

Biggest field of the day sees 13 in the 2.30pm Ken Lindsay Memorial Fillies’ Stakes over six furlongs, which looks between the grey Angel Of The South from Dean Ivory’s stable and Flying Sparkle for Jamie Spencer and Michael Bell. The filly won on debut at Windsor in July.

More two-year-olds are on show in the 3pm nursery in which Ryan Moore has an outstanding chance on Stoute’s Forever In Love. Hollie Doyle rides Richard Hannon’s Royal Household and they have another opportunity at 5.15pm with Sterling Silva, although Maratha has a big chance, having won at Nottingham in July.

Selections: 2pm, Gabr; 2.30pm, Left Alone; 3pm, Forever in Love; 3.35pm, Hope is High; 4.10pm, Great Hall; 4.40pm, Vernatti; 5.15pm, Maratha; 5.50pm, Big Tour.
