Windmill claim impressive win in repeat of Sunday Senior Cup Final

There were last 16 ties in both the Norfolk and Suffolk Sunday Senior Cups at the weekend, with some tough weather to play in.
There was a repeat of last season’s Norfolk Senior Cup final when Windmill took on CSKA Emneth.
Two goals from Jordan Stanton and one each from Chad Pillar and Connor Deeks saw the Great Yarmouth Sunday League side win 4-1 to progress to the last eight 4-1. In the next round they will take on Schoolhouse at home.
Wheelwrights also made it to the last eight by beating Mischief 6-1. There was a hat-trick for Connor Ingram and two for Sam Wooldridge while Fin Bishop also was on the scoresheet.
Wheelwrights will now take on Acle Rangers who defeated True Traders 5-2.
In the Suffolk Senior Cup Waveney progressed to the next round by winning 9-0 at home to Martlesham Old Boys. Gavin Manning notched four goals while Sam Clay chipped in with a brace. The Flying Dutchman bowed out 1-0 away to Rayden Wanderers.
In the league Fusileers won 6-2 at home to Memphis Belton with Roberto Sacrimento and Shaun Baines getting on the scoresheet. AC Mill Lane beat Real Ale Madrid 9-1 with Liam Burchette getting hat-trick.
On Sunday afternoon there was a charity game for the Scott Hank’s appeal at the Wellesley in which a Shanks XI took on a Great Yarmouth past and present team. Over £800 was raised with also £220 donated from the neighbours of Scott.

pride of place went to Division Three teams, with Ellingham, Celt Rangers and AC Mill Lane all making progress in the Norfolk Primary Cup. Ellingham beat Attlebourgh Town A 2-1 away from home with T Einecker getting both goals. Celt Rangers beat Wensum Albion 10-0 and AC Mill Lane beat South Walsham Reserves 6-2 with goals from Ellis two, Papworth, Murphy, Hill and a penalty from Howard.
Division One leaders Mutford and Wrentham won against Southwold 3-2 while two points behind are Oulton Broad who won 3-1 against Spexhall. Norton scrapped home to a 3-2 win home to bottom club Hearts of Oak. First and Last came back to earth losing 4-0 home to Stanford.
In Division Two Beccles Caxton Reserves beat Crusaders 5-1 to lead the division.
